What is High
Blood Pressure/Hypertension?
Approximately
50 million people in the United States have Hypertension and are
on prescription drugs to control it. High blood pressure, like
many of today’s diseases, is a silent killer. Often it is
discovered during a regular routine visit to your doctor.
Blood
pressure
is the force of blood, created by the heart, against the walls
of the veins, arteries, and the four chambers of the heart.
There is a greater force against the arteries and over time this
force damages the linings of the blood vessels. This
can lead to hardening of the arteries or Atherosclerosis. High LDL cholesterol and
smoking are other serious risk factors contributing to High Blood Pressure. Atherosclerosis, in turn, leads to heart
disease, heart attacks
and stroke.
2 Types of Blood
Pressure:
-
Primary
Hypertension: Also called Essential hypertension: With
Primary Hypertension, Dr’s are unable to find a specific
cause of the hypertension. Statistics show that 85%
to 90% of high blood pressure victims are this type.
-
Secondary
Hypertension: With Secondary Hypertension, the high blood
pressure is caused by a specific underlying condition, such
as hormonal dysfunction, thyroid disease, kidney disease,
and alcohol/drug intake. More causes include oral
contraceptives, licorice, corticosteroids, and/or drugs that
stimulate the nerves.
High Blood
Pressure Symptoms
People with
very high blood pressure commonly experience the following:
Dizziness, Flushed Face, Nervousness,
Headaches, Fatigue and Weakness, Restlessness, Difficulty
Breathing, Nose or Eye bleeds, Insomnia, Intestinal Complaints,
Emotional Instability
Essential Hypertension is often
symptom-less until after complications develop, such as heart
disease, stroke, and kidney failure.
Causes of Hypertension
There is
typically 2 or more factors involved when someone who has High Blood Pressure.
These are some of the common precursors: Poor Diet, Diabetes,
Hardened Arteries, High LDL Cholesterol, Obesity, and Stress. These
precursors may involve hypertension more in people that are
genetically so inclined. Most knowledgeable nutritionists,
however, point to the serious lack of potassium and magnesium in
the American Diet mainly because of the high salt intake.
Smoking, Coffee, and Alcohol consumption also affect and can cause High Blood Pressure.
There is also
much evidence that toxic contamination from heavy metals, such
as lead, mercury, and cadmium can advance high blood pressure.
We are exposed to these toxins through air and water pollution
as well as through our diets. Foods grown in contaminated soils
along with fish and shell fish harvested from contaminated
waters are sources for toxic chemicals.
Diagnosing High Blood Pressure
High Blood Pressure must be diagnosed by a Professional!
Any potential
Secondary Hypertension causes must be ruled out. Urine
and blood tests should be conducted. Additionally, eye exams are
needed.
Natural Organic Supplements for
High Blood Pressure
In 70% to 80% of new cases that
include mild High Blood Pressure, doctors will suggest a dietary and lifestyle
change for a short period to see if your effort lowers the blood
pressure. It is important to work with your primary care
physician while making the efforts needed to succeed.
Along with that effort,
include a concentrated whole-food supplement which will quicken your
success.

cholesterol, triglycerides, depress clot formation, and support
blood distribution.
Guess What? Essential 7 has included in its blend Garlic for
this very reason. You can’t taste it
but it is there in all its greatness. Consume ONE SCOOP A DAY of

Coenzyme Q10

nine men already taking blood pressure medication found that "Co
Q10" daily for 8 weeks could ease blood pressure around 9%
compared to the placebo group.
